Saunook Community Organization
To benefit the public through educational, cultural, civic, and charitable programs and activities that serve to preserve, conserve, and enhance the heritage of the Saunook Community;
To ensure that future generations will have the opportunity to experience the rich cultural of the Saunook Community;
To partner with residents to maintain a sense of community and maintain the quality of life for our members;
To provide classes, lectures, cultural opportunities, and special events.
In 2023, the Saunook Community Organization was awarded the Trillium Certificate and a monetary award by the WNC Communities Organization. To be eligible for this prestigious award, the community must meet specific criteria, including leadership, financial stewardship, volunteer recruitment and retention, community programs, and collaboration.
